An advocate is one who argues
for a cause, or pleads on another’s
behalf for education rights.
An important, valuable service that we provide is going to the schools on behalf of the students who are traumatically brain injured. Students with traumatic brain injuries may present with unique and varied learning and behavior problems. Parents often needs assistance to navigate through, and negotiate with, a school system. We know the special education laws and are effective members of the school team. We attend IEP’s and any other meetings on behalf of the student and design plans with school personnel to make sure all needs are being addressed.
